收錄在Guns N' Roses(槍與玫瑰)Use Your Illusion II中，
是首反戰歌曲，
這或許也是他們唯一一首自創的反戰歌曲，
前面的口白摘自於Cool hand Luke電影中典獄長的一段話，
也跟這首歌有著不謀而合的意義
就是要逼你就範。

歌詞中的「Civil War」指的是美國南北戰爭，
歌曲以這場戰爭作為題材，
表達了對戰爭、暴力和仇恨的厭惡之情。
歌詞中有很多慨嘆人類對於戰爭和暴力的無能為力，
對於戰爭中受難者的同情，以及對於和平、愛和寬容的渴望。

戰爭說穿了就是讓你們這些窮人自以為愛國熱血，
然後葬送自己的性命給權勢者享福的一種手段罷了，
這世界本來就沒仇恨，
都是被煽動出來的，
結果都是年輕人丟了性命，
然後權勢者發了大財。
